Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn has stood up for ISIS supporter Shamima Begum to receive legal aid in her fight to get back into Britain whilst arguing that she shouldn’t be stripped of her citizenship. Disgusting.

In an interview with the Press Association today, he has said: “I understand her solicitor has applied for legal aid. She is a British citizen. She is therefore entitled to apply for legal aid if she has a legal problem just like anybody else is.”

He reiterated that: “She is a British citizen and I do think the idea of removing her citizenship is questionable, very questionable, and wrong.”

Corbyn goes on to say that “creating stateless people isn’t going to solve any problems” and that allowing Begum to come back into the country and facing the possibility of “legal action” is the right thing to do.

Begum has previously said: “When I saw my first severed head in a bin it didn’t faze me at all. It was from a captured fighter seized on the battlefield, an enemy of Islam.” She subsequently said that people should have “sympathy” towards her.

Corbyn’s weak approach is massively out of step with a country where 65% of Brits would be willing to break international law to make Begum stateless and stop her returning to the country. Don’t let her back.
