I have been following and documenting the many twists and turns of the “Covid-19 era” since it began, the confusion, the contradictory and often nonsensical rhetoric coming from government ministers and their “scientific experts” – so many contradictions along the way.
There has been very little debate on the one constant throughout this whole nightmare and that is the utter devastation caused to our economy and society as a whole due not to covid-19 but the political reaction to it.
In January 2021 We find ourselves in exactly the same position as we were back in March 2020 in the midst of another full national lockdown.
If you listen to the mainstream media’s hyped up coverage of the covid-19 vaccine, something akin to the second coming of Christ, you may believe that progress has been made, normality is on the horizon. But, amongst the hysteria and the fanfare is an underlying message that is somehow being missed by the masses as they rush to roll up their sleeve to reach the promised land.
What do I mean, let me explain…………..
At a virtual press conference held by the World Health Organization (WHO) on Dec. 28, 2020, WHO officials warned “there is no guarantee that COVID-19 vaccines will prevent people from being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and transmitting it to other people. Until we know more, we need to assume that people who have been vaccinated need to take the same precautions.
I think our understanding and recommendations will change as we get more follow-up data from these trials. The second phase is then looking at how will this vaccine affect transmission.” (trials, second phase what do they mean??)
In a New Year’s Day interview with Newsweek, Anthony Fauci, MD, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), reinforced the WHO’s admission that health officials do not know if COVID-19 vaccines prevent infection or if people can spread the virus to others after getting vaccinated.
Matt Hancock has stated scientists don’t know if people can still spread Covid-19 after vaccine.
Kate Bingham of Patrick Vallance’s UK Vaccine Taskforce stated ….. “The first generation of vaccines is likely to be imperfect, and we should be prepared that they might not prevent infection but rather reduce symptoms, and, even then, might not work for everyone or for long”.
What is Meant by Vaccine “Efficacy”?
Vaccine efficacy is the percentage reduction in a disease in a group of people who received a vaccination in a clinical trial. It differs from vaccine effectiveness, which measures how well a vaccine works when given to people in the community outside of clinical trials.
Does it mean that the vaccines will prevent people from becoming infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus? Does it mean that they will prevent people who have the virus from spreading it to others? Based on clinical trials, there is no evidence the vaccines will prevent either.
In an interview with NBC’s Lester Holt, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla acknowledged he didn’t know if the BNT162b2 vaccine would prevent the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. “I think this is something that needs to be examined. We are not certain about that right now with what we know,” Bourla said.
Bourla’s comments were echoed by Moderna’s chief medical officer, Tal Zaks, MD. In an interview with Axios on Nov. 23, Dr. Zaks noted, “When we start the deployment of [the mRNA-1273] vaccine, we will not have sufficient concrete data to prove that this vaccine reduces transmission.”
According to vaccines expert David Diemert, MD of George Washington University, it is not known if the COVID-19 vaccines will prevent the SARS-CoV-2 virus from entering the body or leaving a vaccinated body.
I will now present you with the World Health Organisation’s definition of a vaccine
Is this a rollout of a safe and effective vaccine or an extended clinical trial?
If a vaccine does not stop you contracting or transmitting a virus why would you take it?
And last but not least why is this message not getting through to the masses?
I fell into politics quite by accident in 2014 and all because my local County Council brought in a policy switching off street lighting overnight my elderly neighbours felt vulnerable – this spurred me into action and the Right to Light Campaign was born.
I started the Right to Light Petition which garnered over 11,000 signatures enough to trigger a debate at Kent County Council. I delivered a speech in front of 88 Councillors and journalists but they refused to listen to the people and kept the lights off.
I worked closely with a local journalist who followed the campaign from start to finish, publishing articles on an almost weekly basis.
Word spread about the campaign and the Council’s refusal to listen – my phone became a hotline, I was invited onto BBC Breakfast and live radio something I would never have contemplated happening in a million years. Following a fierce 2 year battle and against all the odds streetlighting was restored throughout Kent.
Spurred on by success and having witnessed how badly represented people were at local level I joined UKIP standing as a candidate in Borough and County elections narrowly missing out on a seat by 22 votes on one occasion.
The run-up to the EU Referendum was an exciting time I joined the Grassroots Out Campaign and ran weekly street stalls delivering thousands of leaflets and meeting hundreds of people including Nigel Farage and Gerard Batten. I loved the buzz and the fun was infectious. I have been hooked ever since.
I became a prolific poster on Facebook building up relationships in many groups, I was approached by the owner of a Website/FB page called Fortis est Veritas asking if I would like to write articles to post on his platform. I have to date written 22 articles and really enjoy documenting the twists and turns of Brexit a very exciting time – we are writing history and it is essential that is fully documented.
I am very excited to now be given the opportunity to join the UNN family as a Political Analyst – the next chapter in a very exciting 5 years of my life.
